Keller ‘VSS’ 100% all-maple shells. these are costly and there is no better traditional-style drumshell to build with.
your choice of finishes:
(A) transparent hand-rubbed satin oil finish in an almost limitless variety of hand-mixed colours (sonically amazing)
(B) durable wrapped finish (massive selection of vintage sparkles, pearls, solids & moreā¦) -and our seams don’t come up!
bearing edges that are cut specific to each custom drum, then sanded, polished and sealed
hand cut snare beds specific to each snare drum
thin sealer/oil-finished shell interiors and edges (unless raw requested)
ATTENTION: i am currently out of my proprietary stainless steel hex lugs. it was fun while it lasted, and owners of those kits/drums have something pretty special. i will have another batch made up in the future if there is enough demand. for now, i am building with the classic slingerland lug as well as a small, modernish yamaha-esque lug. both are good-looking, great options. neither will let you down. basically, you just need to pick a retro look or a more modern one. we do have many other lugs available, but these are ones i recommend:
